Training
We train architects, urban designers, and policymakers to design for play beyond catalogue play equipment, focusing on how play can be integrated into the broader design of public space.
Our approach encourages the creation of meaningful, inclusive, and engaging environments where play emerges through landscape, urban form, and social interaction rather than relying only on standardised playground elements.
We have led numerous workshops and training programmes internationally, working with professionals in South Korea, Croatia, Egypt, Rwanda, and Mexico to rethink how cities can support playful, child-friendly, and community-oriented environments.
Some of the topics that we address are:
- How to design pedagogically rich play spaces, with local materials, without catalogue play equipment?
- Hoe betrek je de buurt bij het klimaat-adaptiever en kind-vriendelijker maken van hun leefomgeving?
- How to integrate solutions for climate challenges in public (play) spaces?
- How to design meaningful participation processes?
- How to design inclusive playspaces for all children, focusing on educational vision, 21st century skills, inclusion, gender equity?
