Description

Consulting Takween architects in child-friendly design.

Challenge

Challenging surroundings, slopes around the yard. How to change the gender-separated play which was sedentary play for girls and football for boys?

Process

Takween has done participatory sessions with teachers and children. I have designed together with the Takween architects in order to make use of the slopes, and create very diverse play areas all around the school.

Result

Intensively used play area.
Both boys and girls find their own places to play.
