Happy to have SCIPS Penang as Space for Play Asia’s first client. The school’s play philosophy is inspirational, embracing children’s full development through free play during extra long breaks, giving children freedom, leadership and risks in play; SCIPS is the first OPAL school in Asia. They have asked us to redesign one area of their schoolgrounds. We have customised our participation, in order to have children in the lead for their schoolgrounds innovation. Huge engagement, their opinions and many wonderful ideas gave us the input for our sketch design. Next step: co-design with the teachers!
