Description

Students have transformed their schoolgrounds: from a ‘boring’ grey bikeparking area, to a climate adaptive green, cosy and active community area. On a grid of infiltration strips to solve the rainwater problems, we have designed a spaces for ALL: 27 indigenous blossoming new trees, diverse cosy seating areas for socializing or outdoor lessons, activating areas where both boys and girls love to jump, run, turn, play football or tabletennis, XXL co-working picknicktables, a pull-up station and bars, a “peace tree” and much more. A great example of a climate adaptive, social, safe, cool and active place co-designed by the teenagers themselves.
